Evelyn truly was an angel on Earth. She displayed the Lord's love in her heart and counted on Him daily to guide her way through life's challenges. Her strong conviction in the Lord arose from her Catholic background within her family. Growing up in a family of nine, she learned how to provide for her family at a young age by leaving school and helping with family expenses. She married the love of her life, Wiley Clinton Roark, and they shared 69 wonderful years together. She and Wiley shared a love of fishing, bowling, square dancing, playing cards, and watching old westerns starring John Wayne. Among all, family was the most important thing to Evelyn. She loved to take care and play with her grandchildren; and she took pleasure in cooking meals for the whole family. Evelyn kept in touch with her brothers and sisters and loved them dearly. She was small but feisty. Sometimes she even enjoyed a little competition betting against her husband during the Chiefs vs. Broncos game (she always bet on the Broncos). She held a special place in everyone's heart that only she could fulfill. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed!
