Faye Ellen Waitman
Faye was born on November 17th, 1928 to Percy and Mabel Gingery in Loveland, CO. She was the oldest of three children including her brother, Deryl Gingery and her sister, Esther Ballew.
She graduated from Loveland High School in 1946. She met Dean Leroy Waitman while he was in the US Army and they were married on May 11th, 1947. They had three children, Gary (Jackie), Ann (Eric) Aoki, Greg and one grandson, Chad.
Faye graduated Magna Cum Laud from Metro State College with a Masters Degree in Sociology. She worked at Western Electric and retired from State of Colorado at the University of Colorado at Denver.
She was a member of the Adopted Mothers Club and charter member of Colorado Confidential Intermediary Services. She matched many adopted children with their biological parents with many success stories to tell.
Geneology was her passion. She spent a great deal of time in research for her family, and many others. Faye was a longstanding member of Harvey Park Christian Church and a member of the Butterfly Book Club.
She and Dean loved to square dance and were members of the Hilltoppers Square Dance Club for several years. She loved to travel and was an active bowler; in fact she bowled a 216 last June. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. We love and will miss her very much.
Memorial service Friday, 11 AM, December 9, 2011 at Harvey Park Christian Church,3401 S. Lowell Blvd., Denver CO 80236. Reception to follow the service at the church.
