ESSIE "FAYE" MACKLBERG
Faye Burnett was born in the area of Paris, Arkansas, on July 8, 1938, received by her parents Lucy R. and Bethel Burnett. The family moved to the Denver/Sheridan area in 1952 by way of Colorado Springs, and she grew up with siblings and maternal grandparents nearby. She was married for a period of time and is survived by her six children, 18 grandchildren, three siblings and their families, many cousins and extended family members as well as her boyfriend, and many, many friends she met over more than 50 years of living in the Barnum/West Denver neighborhoods. She spent many hours knitting, sewing, quilting and other craft activities that she gave back to her community. She also had many friends in the American Baptist Church community, where among many other things, she learned and then taught sign-language. It's with sadness that those of us here on Earth mourn her passing on October 6, 2015, but celebrate her heavenly life as she rejoins her parents, family and many friends. Her family graciously thank Denver Hospice for making her final days filled with comfort, care, and compassion, and ask that memorial gifts by made to them in her honor. Also, thank you so much to Newcomer Mortuary for gracefully handling the final arrangements.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to The Denver Hospice, 501 S. Cherry St #700, Denver, CO 80246.
