Florence M. Savolt passed away on August 23, 2014 at Brookshire House, Denver, Colorado.

Born August 4, 1929 in Sterling, Colorado, she was the oldest of six children of John J. and Catherine Komlofske Roth. She grew up in the Holcomb and Deerfield areas. She spent most of her adult life in Garden City. In 2003 she moved to Colorado where she enjoyed her remaining years.

Florence was known for her love of gardening, nature, music, dancing, card games and playing the slot machines. She lived her life with the courage and purpose that most people strive for. Her love, laughter, humor, friendliness and kindness will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include a daughter, Donita Mader Blacksher, Black Hawk, Colorado, son, Randall Mader, Oshkosh, WI, step daughter, Linda Savolt Hendrixson, The Villages, Florida, step son, Timothy Savolt, Commerce City, Colorado, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Other survivors include brothers John Roth, Keenesburg, Colorado and Jerry Roth, Garden City, and a sister Lucille Johnson, McPherson, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Dorothy Wigner, brother LeRoy Roth and spouses Clarence Mader and Clarence Savolt.

A graveside service will take place at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City.
