Floyd Ray James passed away on April 6,2020
Life began for Floyd Ray James Sr. on 12/31/64 In Denver Colorado. He was the 5th of 6 children born to John L. & Mary E. James. Floyd was educated in the Denver Public School system and attended Barret elementary, Gove Jr. high and East high school.
Floyd was Baptized at an early age at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church where he and his younger brother Edward served as junior ushers, under the leadership of the late Rev. D.M. Survine.
He was a fun-loving person who loved to play basketball, spend time with his family playing games and he also loved to fish. A a jolly person, even when he wasn't feeling well, Floyd loved to laugh.
Floyd is the father of Deshaun Perkins; Floyd Ray James Jr.
He is survived by his Mother Mary Ethel James of Aurora; Sons Deshaun Perkins of Utah & Floyd Ray James Jr. Niece Loretta James of Aurora; Donnell James of Atlanta; Brother in-law Johnny Miller of Aurora and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Floyd was preceded in death by his father John Luke James Sr.; Sisters Beatrice McGee, Orelia Meria James and Michelle Stark: Brothers Emmette Lee, John Luke and Edward Earl James: Nieces Tamika Nicole and DeVae James.
