Floyd Leroy Duran Jr., 59, of Denver, passed away July 31, 2017.
He was born May 2, 1958 in Las Vegas, New Mexico, the son of Floyd and Gloria (Cordova) Duran.
He attended Menaul High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Floyd honorably served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
On June 20, 1984, he married Cheryl Mahsetky after 6 years of courtship.
Floyd loved to fish and hunt. He also enjoyed his trips to Black Hawk and always had good luck. Floyd enjoyed spending time with his family, especially spoiling his grandchildren. He was a hard worker and took pride in it. He always made sure his family was taken care of. He loved spending lots of time in Chacon, New Mexico. Floyd was an avid Denver Broncos fan.
Floyd is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Cheryl Duran; stepson, Michael Wolfe; two daughters, Michelle Duran and Jennifer Duran; son, Floyd Leroy Duran, III; ten grandchildren, Alicia Duran, Mariah Gomez, Audrina Gomez, David Gomez, Joshua Matthews, Floyd Leroy Duran, IV, Joseph Duran, Sarina Wolfe, Cierra Wolfe and Sabian Wolfe with one granddaughter on the way; his parents, Floyd and Gloria Duran; three brothers, Tony (Barbara) Duran, Tommy (Margaret) Duran and Richard (Barbara) Duran; three sisters, Margaret (Richie) Ramos, Debra Duran-Casillas and Geraldine Duran and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by grandmother, Agapita Duran and two grandfathers, Elias Duran and Daniel Cordova.
