Frances A. Anderson of Denver, CO. and formerly of Oskaloosa, Iowa died October 16, 2012 peacefully at her home in Denver. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa.

She was born on May 24, 1916, in Fremont, IA., the daughter of Dr. Francis A. and Maude Hanlin Gillett. She graduated from Oskaloosa High School with the class of 1934, and Cornell College in 1938, and was a member of Mortar Board Society. She taught school for nine years. From 1940 to 1943 she taught languages in Oskaloosa High School, and later in Wyoming and colorado. On June 20, 1951, she married James Anderson in Denver. He died April 8, 1968.

Frances was a member of the Central United Methodist Church while living in Oskaloosa. In Denver, she attended the Belcaro Evangelical Church.

Her family includes her son James Brent Anderson of Denver, a son Wayne Gillett Anderson who died June 24, 1986, a grandson, Kenneth James Anderson and his wife Keren Weinberg who live in Manhattan, NY, a niece and her husband Linda Sue and Mark E. Gilderbloom of Woodstock, GA.

While living in Denver, Frances was employed by the Denver Public Library for 18 years, retiring in 1986.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Anderson, her son Wayne Anderson and her sister Phyllis and husband Clifford E. Powers & Nephew Carleton E. Powers.
