Frances Burns , 99, of Denver, passed away January 6, 2016.

She was born October 1, 1916 in Antonito, Colorado, the daughter of Rumaldo and Marisia (Salazar) Chavez.

Frances loved embroidery, embroidering dish towels and pillow cases. She also enjoyed sewing and gardening. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Frances is survived by her children, Fred (Rosalie) Vigil, Connie Shea, Walt (Bethany) Vigil, Moses Vigil; and Arlene Navarrette; Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; Sister, Cedelia Mondragon and Many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her Infant Daughter, Flora Vigil; Infant Son, Walt Vigil Jr.; Parents, Rumaldo and Marisia Chavez, Two Brothers, Joe T. Chavez and Herman Chavez, Two Sisters, Eulilia "Lala" Romero, and Perfeta "Betty" Vigil.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Presentation of Our Lady Catholic Church, 695 Julian Street, Denver, CO 80204.
