Frank Delbert Novachek, 83, of Littleton, Colorado passed away January 16, 2016.
He was born November 13, 1932 in Moorehead, Minnesota, the son of Frank and Della (Heath) Novachek. He was a graduate of Shattuck High School. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BA Degree in Agriculture. He served his country in the United States Army, attaining the rank of Sergeant, guarding "Atomic Annie" along the way. On May 22, 1975, he married Sara Jane (Pelot) Novachek.
Frank and his wife Sara owned and operated their own Specialty Advertising Company, SaFran Incentives. Frank was an avid athlete, enjoying skiing, golf, fishing and tennis. He also loved playing games, including Poker, Bridge, Gin, Scrabble and many others. Frank and Sara were devoted Collie breeders and exhibitors, having bred many champions and some of the top Collie dogs in the country. He was known for his sense of humor and making people laugh. Frank was a loving family man who adored his wife.
Frank is survived by a son, Frank Jay Novachek; two daughters, Barbara Jeanne Hummel and Virginia Leigh Nickell; three step-daughters, Leslie A. Young, Laura Leovic and Melissa Jean McKay; Step-Sister, Penny Klein; numerous grand and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sara Jane Novachek, father, Frank Joseph Novachek, mother, Della Novachek, and a daughter, Karol Kay Blinderman.
