Frank was born in Denver on April 9, 1948, to Loanelva Alice (nee Wasson) and Ralph Willard Lindsey.
He attended Boulevard and Berkeley Elementary Schools and Skinner Junior High, graduating from North Denver High School in 1966. He lettered in swimming, tennis, and shotputting while a student there. He attended Western State University in Gunnison, Colorado for one year before entering the Denver workplace.
After several years with McCombs Supply, he began a career at Hatch Grinding Company, a large automotive distribution center. He rose to become the Operations Manager there, a job he held for over 20 years.
Beginning as a Cub Scout in 2nd Grade, he proudly became an Eagle Scout at age 14. Always a Scout, he was honored with the prestigious Silver Beaver Award in 1988. As a lifelong Scout, he became a member of the Tahosa Alumni Association, working many weekends to maintain and improve the beloved Camp Tahosa near Ward, Colorado. The camp has hosted and helped develop thousands of young boys and men into responsible adults, while enjoying the outdoors.
Frank married Dorothea Ann Jones in July of 1972. Their son, William Joseph Lindsey, was born in 1984. Both Dorothea and Bill worked tirelessly and lovingly to care for Frank in his final months. They extend their gratitude and thanks to the many excellent caregivers who kept him safe and comfortable over time. Frank leaves behind his immediate family, Dorothea, Bill, and his sister Lorraine Lindsey Kornafel (Peter).
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled for later this summer.
