Frank George Mauracher Jr., a man whose life was marked by kindness, humor, and unwavering dedication, passed away on June 11, 2026, in Lakewood, Colorado. Born on May 1, 1951, in Denver, Colorado, Frank’s journey was one filled with love for his family, a deep commitment to his craft, and an infectious spirit that touched all who knew him.
Frank was a master plumber who worked steadfastly to rise to the position of Superintendent with Murphy Mechanical Company. His involvement with the UA Plumbers Local Number 3 Union reflected not only his skill but also his dedication to the trade he cherished. He took immense pride in his career accomplishments, always valuing the importance of craftsmanship and integrity in his work. Among his proudest moments were the close bonds he formed with apprentices Mike and Jason, guiding them with the same care and respect that defined his character.
Beyond his professional life, Frank's essence sparkled brightest among family and friends. He was known far and wide for lighting up a room with his jokes and quick wit. A prankster and jokester at heart, he brought laughter and warmth wherever he went. Yet, he was also straightforward and no-nonsense—a man who held no boundaries with those he called friends and who relentlessly encouraged others to strive toward their best selves. Frank followed his heart genuinely, living with honesty and generosity that left lasting impressions.
His passions extended into quiet joys as well. Frank loved fishing, spending time in the mountains, and tinkering around the house. In his later years, he discovered a special delight in cooking, particularly crafting sugar-free Dutch pies, a testament to his thoughtful and nurturing nature.
Frank leaves behind a loving family who will carry his memory forward with great affection. He is survived by his devoted wife, Susanna Mauracher, and his cherished children: Candice Mauracher (Marty Bernard), Phil Mauracher (Eddie Barraza), Tara Mauracher, Jamie LaGuardia (Evan Anderson), and Shane LaGuardia (Maggie). His grandchildren—Andrew, Sean, Carli Mauracher and James LaGuardia—were a source of immense pride and joy to him.
He is also remembered lovingly by his siblings, Carol Mauracher, Sharon (Jerry) Vogt, Linda Finley, and Gary (Kerry) Mauracher, and by his nephews and nieces: Jeremy (Heather) Vogt, Josh (Cornelia) Vogt, Stacy (Chris) Elliott, Brian Finley, Brandon (Jessica) Mauracher, Cory (Tara) Mauracher, and Kristi Mauracher, along with many great nieces and nephews.
Frank was preceded in death by his loving parents, Frank George Mauracher Sr. and Virginia Mauracher, who undoubtedly instilled in him the values of love, resilience, and generosity.
To know Frank was to know a man of heart and humor, a spirit who embraced life fully and gave deeply. He was always there with a helping hand, a word of encouragement, or a joke that would brighten the darkest day. Though he may have been a puzzle to some, to those closest to him, he was a beloved beacon of strength, laughter, and unwavering support.
Frank George Mauracher Jr.’s legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved him and the countless lives he touched with his kindness and humor. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
