Frank Manuel Yanni Sr.

Frank Manuel Yanni Sr. passed away on September 26, 2026, in Denver, Colorado, surrounded by his loved ones until his last breath. He was born on July 22, 1938, in Sante Fe, New Mexico, and will be remembered as a devoted family man, a proud veteran, and a deeply caring presence in the lives of so many.

Frank proudly served in the Marine Corp and spent time in Japan during his service. He carried that same strength and dedication into the rest of his life, becoming known as someone who looked after others with a generous heart. He was a caregiver in the truest sense—always watching over his family, while also extending kindness and help to friends and neighbors. He was welcoming, dependable, and always willing to lend a hand.

He brought warmth and laughter wherever he went. Frank was a very funny man with a wonderful sense of humor, a true jokester who always seemed to have a joke or a funny saying ready. He had a gift for making people feel comfortable and cared for. His hospitality was part of who he was; he made sure everyone had something to eat and a Coke, and he made people feel at home in his presence.

Frank also found joy in the things he loved most. He loved bowling and was a member of the 300 club. He loved fishing and the outdoors, and he had a deep appreciation for jazz music as well as a love of New Mexico music. Those who knew him will also smile at the memory of his nickname, “the Ninja.” Even with a walker, he was always up and going and could get away from people with surprising speed and sneaky quickness.

Above all, Frank cherished his family. He is survived by his children and step-son, Wayne Lucero, Christine (Arthur) Rodriguez, Mark (Corine) Yanni, Leeandra (Larry) Chavez, Matilda (Ronald) McManaway, and Vincent (Renee) Yanni; and by his sisters, Christine Holcomb and Charlotte Valdez. He is also survived by numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and even 2 Great Great Grandchildren. The love he gave to his family was steady and unmistakable, and his care for them shaped countless moments that will remain treasured in their hearts.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Beatrice, his partner of 50 years, and by his son, Frank Yanni Jr. Their memories remained close to him, and the bond they shared continues to be part of the story of his life.

A visitation will be held on October 5, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, West Metro, 901 S Sheridan Blvd, Denver, Colorado 80226.

Frank Manuel Yanni Sr. will be remembered for his laughter, his service, his generosity, and the way he cared for others so naturally and so well. His family and friends will carry forward the memory of a man who welcomed everyone, helped whenever he could, and filled life with humor, heart, and love.
