Frankie Lee Netters

March 29, 1960 — April 1, 2025

"Keep On Trucking"

Born on March 29, 1960, Frankie, a true Road Warrior, passed away April 1, 2025 at the age of 65. He was a life long trucker and had a true love for the road.

Frankie was born in Sunflower, Mississippi to the union of Isaac and Leola Netters. Frankie, better known as "Pete" to his family and friends, was one of four children and the only boy. He later moved to Kansas City, Missouri with his family at an early age. He attended Kansas City Public Schools.

After graduating, he joined the United States Army. He started his career as a combat engineer. Frankie was first stationed at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky then Korea, with his sister Shirley, where he found his love of truck driving. After Korea, Frankie went back to Kentucky and his sister to Denver. He was then stationed in Germany. He went to visit his sister in Denver where he met his future wife Debbie.

Debbie and Frankie later married in Denver and moved to Kentucky and in this union a son, Marcus, was born. They then moved to Germany as a family and another son, Marquise, was born and outside of this marriage another son, Wesley, was born.

Frankie excelled in the Army and make rank fast. He enjoyed traveling the world with the 101 Airborne; South Korea, Germany, Honduras, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq. This built the love for driving trucks and other equipment. After leaving the military after over ten plus years, Frankie started a new career with West Way, Martin Ltd., and the Post Office receiving many awards. With Martin he covered one million miles without an accident. After being medically unable to drive anymore, he turned in his truck wings.

He is preceded in death by his parents Leola and Isaac Netters. He leaves behind sons Marcus of Seattle, Marquise of Denver and Wesley of Kansas City; sisters Shirley (Wilbur), Dorothy (Michael), and Debra (Melvin); and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-niece and his road dog Mini Me.

A memorial service and private interment at Fort Logan with Military Honors will be held at a later date.

Brother,

"If only I knew. If only I knew you would have stop answering my calls the last time we talked on the phone I would've saved the last conversation just to hear your voice one more time. If only I knew that would've been the last time I would see you 3 1/2 years ago I would've hugged you tighter. I would forever cherish and hold dear to my heart all the memories of all the times you stayed with me when you came home, all talks, laugh and fun times we had together. Although I'm a peace knowing you knew just how much I loved you and you loved me, because that's what we would always say before getting off the phone I love you brother in return you say I love you too baby sis. Rest well brother Love you - Baby Sis

Dear Frankie….

Frankie L. Netters my Lil Brother, my only Brother, I miss you. We were born two and a half years apart. We were each other’s first playmate and friend. For seven years it was just the two of us, then two younger sisters joined us. Later we both enlisted in the US Military after high school graduation. I joined first, the Air Force. Later you joined the Army. This was a very special time for us. During our enlistment we were both stationed in South Korea at the same time. We got to visit with each other while there. Some years later we’re both married with families. This time we were both stationed in Germany with our families. While there we all got to visit each other several times. I am thankful for the many memories and the times we got to spend together. I’m thankful for the laughter, the smiles, the love and the hugs. I love and miss you. You are forever in my heart. Your Big Sister, Jean, Shirley “Jean” Baity, April 2025

from Kee

Thank you for the great summers in the truck. Thank you for showing me the gym which is now my love. I have no bad memories of you. Yes, you were a hot head, but I am now also. Love you always. I will remember you as the trucker and I will learn to ask for help.

Keep On Trucking

Goodbyes are not forever

goodbyes are not the end

they simply mean,

I'll miss you

until we meet again

Trucker's Prayer

As my path has come to an earthly end, keep my Spirit with those I love. Let them know that we will be united again, our paths are on the same roads. Take care of my family while I am away as they see the clouds and every truck that goes by remember me. I love you all.
