Fred G Ramos age 82 years old , went home to be with the Lord on January 1, 2012. He will join hands with his loving wife, Esperanza Alonzo Ramos.
He is survived by his sister Anita B. Rodriguez, 80 years old, brother Joe Gonzales, 73 years old, and by his children Edna Lira (Robert), Sandra Stevens (deceased Ray), Olivia Lira (Savino), Ramona Pearson (Julio), Alfredo Ramos, Joe Manuel Ramos (Joanna), Martha Lira (Charlie), Rodolfo Ramos (Juanita) , 18 grand children, 41 great-grand children and 10 great-great-grand children.
Having lived a hard life, at age 21 he met and married his wife, Esperanza and raised his beautiful children. Fred supported his family by doing site jobs such as mechanics, welding, and other odd jobs on top of his construction job.
Fred was very passionate about animals especially his many Pekingese puppies. He took his dogs for walks in the park. He liked to go fishing and hunting. If he found an injured pigeon he would take it home and nurse it back to health. His intention was to release it again, but some seemed to stay around for months. He also liked to help out at the church with his wife.
As his family grew he loved spending time with his grand children. He had special loving nick names for each. A few of those nick names were Little Alice, Bones, Rabbit, Danny Boy, Gorda, Skinny Mini, Wero, Poquito, and Jose Kong
He enjoyed hearing about his many great-grand children and great-great-grand children, each having a special place in his heart. And when he got to spend time with them his eyes would light up as if he where seeing them for the very first time.
When he became ill everyone in his family was there for him, to support him in every decision and to take him to appointments and always out to eat afterward. And though he might complain, a meal was always expected and enjoyed. On the day he went to be with the Lord , the love he gave was returned 10 fold by his family as we all gathered around him to say our prayers and goodbyes.
