Frederick H Thies 85 of Lakewood Colorado passed away on Thursday July 20th 2023 after a 16 year battle with cancer.
Fred was born in Great Bend Kansas on September 19, 1937 to Karl & Sylvia Thies. After graduating from High School Fred served 4 years in the US Army and then went on to study Business at the University of Oregon.
Fred was married to Dorothy for 60 years and they had 3 children: Fred Jr, Beatrice, and David. They had 4 grandchildren: Joseph Senn, Courtney (Senn) Oster, Nicholas Thies, and Brian Thies. They also had 2 great grandchildren: Deegan Oster and MaKenna Oster
Fred was a long time Rotarian, Bridge player and square dancer.
Celebration of Life will be held at Newcomers 901 Sheridan Lakewood Colorado. 9:00 – 9:30 visitation, 9:30 services, and a small reception immediately following at Newcomers.
