In Loving Memory of Gary Anthony Taddeo October 8, 1948 – September 13, 2025

Gary Anthony Taddeo, 76, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away peacefully at his home on September 13, 2025. Born in Concordia, Kansas, on October 8, 1948, Gary grew up with a strong sense of curiosity, determination, and kindness that carried him through every stage of his life.

After proudly serving in the United States Navy, Gary pursued his education at a technical institution that prepared him for a successful career as a computer programmer. In 1977, he joined The Rocky Mountain News in Denver, working in the Information Technology (IT) Department. He served as Manager over the Advertising Order Entry/Billing System, a role he held with dedication and expertise. When The Rocky Mountain News and The Denver Post merged under a Joint Operating Agreement in 2001, Gary continued his work with the newly formed Denver Newspaper Agency. He retired in 2014 after 37 years in the newspaper business, having earned the admiration and affection of his colleagues. Gary made lifelong friendships with his coworkers and was known as someone extremely well liked and deeply loved.

In 1977, Gary married the love of his life, Glenda. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and mutual devotion. Their marriage was a true partnership, lasting for decades until Glenda’s passing in 2020. Gary found great joy in family life, treasuring time spent with his family and friends, who brought him endless pride and happiness.

Gary held a deep respect for veterans and carried a strong sense of patriotism throughout his life. Beyond his career and family, he was known for his quiet strength, sharp wit, and unwavering loyalty to those he loved. He enjoyed technology, keeping up with current events, and golf. He spent many hours on a golf course always trying to better his game and spend more quality time with friends and family.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lena Taddeo, and his beloved wife, Glenda. He is survived by his son, Anthony Taddeo, and daughter-in-law, Ann Taddeo; grandchildren, Faith Taddeo, Patrick O’Brien, and Paul O’Brien; his sister, Chris Taddeo; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and lifelong friends. Each will remember him as a man of honor, resilience, and heart.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 190 Potomac Street, Aurora, CO 80011. A gathering will begin at 12:00 p.m., followed by the service at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gary’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project or the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals)—two causes close to his heart.

Though Gary will be deeply missed, the love and lessons he shared will live on through all who knew him.
