55 of Aurora, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at his residence. He was born on April 5, 1956 in Colorado Springs, CO to Glen I. and Rita Lockwood. Gary graduated from Centarus High School in 1975 and briefly attended University of Colorado at Boulder. Gary married his wife, Donna (Anderson) Lockwood in 1985.
Gary was an eclectic individual. He loved movies, many genres of music, plays, operas, and reading history, biographies, philosophy and religion. He also enjoyed hiking and camping, especially four-wheel driving with his good friends Harry and Judy Rawlins. He was especially proud of his Irish heritage; he was able to fulfill a lifetime wish to see "the olde country" with his wife. Travel was important to him, and he enjoyed the cruises to Alaska and the Mediterranean. He developed his artistic side by writing poetry, drawing, watercolor, and photography. He was a quiet man not given to idle chitchat; but once he opened up, he had a wicked sense of humor.
His memory will be cherished by his wife, Donna; his mother, Rita; his siblings Glen, Kathy (and husband John Clement), and Maureen Fleeman; his in-law siblings Carol Anderson, Chris (and husband Tom Bedney); his nieces and nephews Jennifer, Jessica (and husband James Warren, son Alexander), Mark (and wife Linda Bedney, son Garion), Katie Bedney, Kim (and husband Rick Schneider), Jill Anderson and David Anderson (and fiancee Heidi Swearingen, children Alexis, Abigail, Evan and Greyson).
He was preceded in death by his father, Glen, his in-laws, Arthur & Lucille Anderson, brother-in-law Robert Anderson, nephew Robert Anderson Jr., niece Colleen Anderson.
