George Baca, 87, of Denver, passed away June 5, 2016.
He was born October 22, 1928 in Trinidad, Colorado, the son of Cipriano and Adeline (Romero) Baca.
He was a graduate of Trinidad High School in 1948. He attended Trinidad Junior College and graduated in 1950.
Honorary member of the Knights of Columbus. George also honorably served in the United States Army National Guard from 1948 until 1956. He also spent many years active at Our Lady of Visitation parish.
He is preceded in death by his loving Wife, Ida; Father, Cipriano Baca, Mother, Adeline Baca, Brother, Cipriano Baca, Jr. and Three sisters, Rosemary Mercado, Sylvia Baca and Eutemia Carreon.
George is survived by Six children, Annabelle (Sam) Martinez, Norma Jean (Dan) Jimenez, Leon G. (Susan) Baca, Loren G. (Deborah) Baca, Alvin J. Baca and Wayne (Adelma) Baca; Brother, Arthur H. (Dolores) Baca; Many nieces, nephews and extended family; Fifteen Grandchildren, Jodine (Ted) Abeyta, Cynthia Gentile, Michele Balmus, Derrick Valdez, Danielle (Bob) Pereira, Dax Jimenez, Krista (Ray) Montano, Anneliese (Ryan) Edstrom, Brandon (Kristin) Baca, Lorie (Joe) Muniz, Dina (Matt Sierra) Baca, Natalie Baca, Nina (Andrew Diaz) Baca, Derrick Salazar and Daniel (Jeanette) Baca; Twenty-eight Great-Grandchildren, Adrian (Alma) Abeyta, Amanda (Jarod) Bohm, Johnny Gentile, Lauren Gentile, Brittany Valdez, Brianna Balmus, Bailey Balmus, Vanessa Valdez, Darren Valdez, Christian Pereira, Luke Pereira, Ambrose Montano, Elle Montano, Ava Edstrom, Allie Edstrom, Max Baca, Emmerie Baca, Joseph Muniz, Austin Sierra, Lily Sierra, Arthur Martinez, Aliesia Trujillo, Andrew Diaz, Geonni B., Mya Baca, Miya B., Lilly Baca and Jordon Baca; Four great-great-grandchildren, Amilia Abeyta, Ari Abeyta, Cason Bohm, Jayse Valdez.
George enjoyed going to Bingo and selling at the Flea Market.
