George Louis McDonald, 66, of Denver passed Tuesday, February 5, 2013. He was born the youngest of nine to the late John McDonald and Carrie McDonald, on January 28, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois.
George graduated from Parker High School in Chicago in 1966, shortly after he enlisted into the army where he served his country asa a mechanic for three years. He became a professional bus driver in Chicago, Illinois and Denver, Colorado for thirty years. In Denver he met and married Earlene Newton and had two children.
He is survived by three children: Lavon Newton, Ratunya Hilton, and Brandy Lane of Denver, Colorado. He is survived by brothers Leonard McDonald of Texas and Charles McDonald of Chicago, Illinois. He is survived by nephews Andy Gay of Chicago, Illinois, Michael McDonald and Reneé Gay of Denver. He is survived by
fourteen grandchildren; a host of cousins, nieces,
nephews, in-laws and friends
George was an inventor, he could buld anything he put his mind to. He loved to laugh and loved to make others laugh also. He enjoyed spending time with his family and he loved football and watching Star Trek. He enjoyed fishing and shopping at Home Depot.
He passed away on February 5, 2013 to lung cancer. He
was great and gentle man and he will be truly
missed by his friends and family.
George will never be forgotten. His love and
smile will live on in our hearts.
