George Zeiler

May 28, 1947 — July 10, 2012

George Zeiler, 65, died Tuesday July 10, 2012 at his home in Aurora. George is survived by his wife Ardell, his son Jeff and wife Winter, and grandson Nicholas of Atlanta, GA. Sisters Diane Baumgartner, Kathy Snow, brother-in-law Paul White, as well as many nieces and nephews.

George Zeiler was born in Denver, Colorado and raised in Brighton, Colorado. George was a 1965 graduate of Brighton High School. He was an Eagle Scout and grew up to be an avid outdoorsman spending much of his time hunting and fishing. George served in the Air Force and served his country as a veteran of the Vietnam War.

George had very successful careers in both Real Estate and Banking. He was also very involved in Ducks Unlimited and played a role in establishing the Chatfield Wetlands. George served as a Civil Service Commissioner for the City of Aurora, as well as in leadership positions within the Republican Party.

George was preceded in death by his parents George and Lillian Zeiler, sisters Joan White and Nancy DiGuesaldo, and brother-in-law Russell DiGuesaldo.

Memorial Services will be held at 2 pm Friday at All Saints Lutheran Church in Aurora, Colorado. There will be a reception after the funeral. Cremation has taken place and there is no visitation. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to All Saints Lutheran Church Foundation.
