Gerald was born July 28, 1938, in DeKalb, Illinois to Ida and Melvin Keim. The family moved to Urbana, Ohio when he was very young. He was a brilliant student but very well known for his football success. He went on to Ohio University and majored in fine art. After graduating college, he went on to join the Army for two years. Serving mainly in Korea and Japan.
Gerald met and married Judith Rowley in Dallas, Texas in 1964. They had sons Roc Evan Keim and Dean Everett Keim. Gerald went for an MBA at Wright State University. The family lived in Beavercreek, Ohio until 1993. At that point, Jerry and Judy (along with Dean) went to live in Aurora, Colorado. Roc continued to live in Ohio with his wife Marianne. He has a son, Benjamin Keim. Roc has been an executive with CMYI in Dayton for 18 years. Dean went on to graduate from Pratt University and remains in New York with Marisha.
Gerald died in April 2014 after retiring. He and his wife traveled on many wonderful trips.
He will be forever remembered and loved by his family.
