Gilbert Maynes “Beto” was born October 28, 1969, to Romain Maynes and Gilbert Martinez in Denver, Colorado. Departed from us September 10, 2025, at the age of 55 in the Mountains of Mosca Pass.
Beto was a devoted and loving husband And a devoted father of and a proud grandfather. Beto was the heart of our family- steadfast, kind, and generous. He poured his love into everything he did, especially into the lives of his family, whom he cherished above all else. As a husband, he was a true partner-loyal, patient, and always supportive. As a father and grandfather, he was a guiding light, offering wisdom, encouragement, and unconditional love. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, his warm smile, and the way he made everyone around him feel safe and loved.
A true example of hard work and determination, Beto was the owner of Xtreme Designz Floor Coatings, a successful commercial flooring company he built through years of dedication and perseverance. His work ethic was unmatched, and he took great pride in his craft and in building something lasting for his family and community. Beyond his work, he was a man of integrity and kindness. He found his greatest joy in time spent with family-whether it was a simple gathering at home or moments shared with his children and grandchildren, whom he adored.
Beto found peace and joy surrounded by nature-camping under the stars, casting a line into the water, or hiking through the woods in search of the perfect hunting spot. The wilderness was his sanctuary. He also had a deep love for adventure, racing motocross and stepping into the boxing ring with the same fearlessness and passion that he brought to every part of his life. Beto was raised in Dillon, Colorado, alongside his brother Billy and sister Sarah. With the majestic mountains as his playground, he spent his childhood exploring the wilderness, developing a lifelong love for nature and adventure. Those early days sparked a passion for the outdoors that stayed with him throughout his life.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and perseverance. He is survived by his loving wife, Angela Maynes; his children, Frank, Jordan, Darion, Angelica, Diego, Angelo, Sara Rose and Joseph. His cherished grandchildren, Azamati, Jalysa, Frank Jr, Mersaiz, Eziko, Deon, Eleuterio, Anastasia, Malachi, Zayden, Analayah, Austin, Nolan, Camilla, Braxton, Angelo Jr, Mateo, Kalea Rose, Koa and one any day; and many extended family members and friends, who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.
Rest peacefully our beloved chosen one. Gilbert Maynes “Beto.”
