Ginger Romero , 88, of Denver, passed away February 19, 2015.
She was born February 4, 1927 in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Luigi and Margherita (Rubino) Bonanno. In 1944, she married Adolph Romero, who was in the Army and Navy. In 1950, they moved to Lakewood and lived there most of their married life.
Ginger enjoyed interior decorating. She enjoyed working in retail, was interested in fashion and gave good advice to all her customers. Later, she was the "Perfume Lady" at Dillard's, Foley's and other department stores. Ginger's love of fashion, decorating and people were seen in her social habits. She loved to dress up, shop 'til she dropped, visit with all kinds of people, attend dances, dinners, outings, and was especially fond of going to the Barnum Rec Hall where she made many friends. She was always trying to be of help to others in any way she could.
She was always a woman of strong faith. She was a member of Presentation of Our Lady Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Women's Auxiliary and active member of the Barnum Recreation Center.
Ginger is survived by Niece, MaryAnn (Joseph) Miano; Two Nephews, Steven (MaryGrace) Montuori and Robert Montuori and many Great-nieces and great-nephews.
She is preceded in death by Husband, Adolph Romero, Father, Luigi Bonanno, Mother, Margherita Bonanno and her sister, Mary Montuori.
