Gloria Estella Vigil, 93, of Denver, passed away January 13, 2017.
She was born February 10, 1923 in Antonito, Colorado, the daughter of Eleuterio and Filomena (Garcia) Gallegos.
She was a graduate of Taos High School in Taos, New Mexico.
On September 16, 1940, she married Raymundo "Ray" Vigil.
Gloria enjoyed gardening, knitting, and was a wonderful cook. She also enjoyed playing the piano. Gloria was an avid traveler and traveled to Europe three times amongst other places.
Gloria is survived by Daughter, Rosalie V. (Gerald) Martinez; Three Grandchildren, Melissa (Peter) Lemke, Matthew (Cindy) Martinez and Annette Martinez; Three Great-Grandchildren, Stephen Martinez, Camille Lemke and Amber (Chris) Wickell; great-great-grandchild, Haven Wickell; and Several nieces, nephews and extended family.
She is preceded in death by Husband, Raymundo "Ray" Vigil; Parents, Eleuterio and Filomena Gallegos; Brother, Eleuterio "Terry" Gallegos and Sister, Angelina "Angie" Garcia.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt "Thank You" to the staff at Bethany Healthplex for all the love and care that they gave to Gloria over the last 10 years.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Holy Name Church Building Fund.
