Gloria Wagner passed away on October 22, 2012. She was born in St Francis, Kansas on September 3, 1932 and moved with her parents Lem and Carrie Miller to Denver as a young child. She spent summers in Kansas with cousins, which she fondly remembered and often spoke of.
Attending North High School, she worked as a clerk at Kress in downtown Denver before meeting and marrying Jake.
She and Jake, with three daughters, moved to their new home on West Gill Place in July 1955 where she resided for the next 57 years. She loved her home and gardening and was blessed with wonderful neighbors, enjoying strong bonds of friendships that endured a life time. Cherishing friends and family, her home was always open to all.
She was a homemaker and then worked many years at a local bakery, eventually becoming a manager before the company was sold. She later started doing housecleaning part time, working for three families whom she considered extended family until her 77th year.
Over the years hobbies included sewing, and ceramics, but most of all, she loved her yard and flowers. She and Jake enjoyed camping and fishing trips, as well as vacations with close friends and family to the Bahamas, Hawaii, Alaska, and California. She continued her travels after Jake's death with close friends to Branson, Nashville, Hawaii, and most recently to New England and Canada.
Gloria cherished her family and especially the gatherings at her swimming pool for over three decades. Loving the holidays, she decorated her home for each occasion for all to enjoy.
Gloria is preceded in death by her husband Jake (1985) and her sister Raylene Shultz.
She is survived by three daughters: Sherrie (Dave) Hage, Cindy Wagner and Mary Wagner; 2 Grandsons: Jeremy and Eric Jurado; 10 Great Grandchildren: Jeremy, Jeremiah, Cherea, Zack, Shanelle, Ashli, Christina, Valerie, Christopher and Jakob; 3 Great-Great Grandchildren: Jeremy III, Jeremiah Jr. and her Great –Great Granddaughter Jahnell, who was taken away too soon.
