Gordon Ted Estes Sr. passed away on April 14, 2015 at the age of 76.
Gordon is predeceased by his son, Gordon Estes Jr., his sisters, Betty Compton and Norma Schroeder, his father Theo Estes and his mother, Ama Estes.
Gordon is lovingly remembered by his wife of 32 years, Carolyn – and by his daughter Sandie (Todd) Gette, his stepson, Darren (Molly) Peterson, his stepdaughter, Shelley Nordin (Michelle) – lovingly known as Pap by his grandchildren Krystal (Gene) Mitchell, Katie (Greg) Muth, Taylor (Emily) Peterson, Keith Kilbey, Kelsey Nordin, Cody Peterson, Lindsay Peterson and Haley Nordin - his great grandchildren, Jordan, Chloe, Maddox, Emery, Mya, Mia and his aunt Thelma Fischer. His brother in-law and sister-in-law Jack and Karma Sue Brown, his former wife Darlene Hargrave and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
Gordon was born in Englewood, Colorado in 1938. He attended Lakewood High School and served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1963. He worked at Illinois California Express (ICX) in several positions up to Denver Terminal Manager. He loved camping, fishing, dirt-biking, and spending time with his family, pets and many friends.
