Grady Lee Reese
85, God's servant, was called home on May 20, 2011. He was born on December 15, 1925, the son of Luther E. & Dessie May (Walker)Reese. He proudly served our nation during WWII as a Navy Radioman. After being honorably discharged, he graduated from Abilene Christian College where he met and married Betty Chumley. He retired from Adams County School District 12 where he served children and their families as a Speech Correctionist. He also served as a minister of churches of Christ in the Denver area. He is survived by his wife of 62 years: Betty Reese; 3 daughters: Alethea (Terry) Danley of Perryton, TX: Peggy (David) Baker of Alamosa, CO; Rebecca (Kevin) Cavasos of Morenci, AZ: 8 grandchildren: 6 great grandchildren: 3 sisters and 1 brother all of Carlsbad, NM. Vistitaton will be Monday, May 23rd from 6-8 pm at Newcomer West Chapel. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, May 24th at 1:30 pm at the Northwest Church of Christ, 5255 West 98th Ave. in Westminster, CO. Private graveside services will take place at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mountain States Children's Home in Longmont, CO. Visit www.NewcomerDenver.com.
