Grover Franklin Angell Sr., born on September 27, 1929, passed away on December 23, 2014 at age 85.
Grover, a resident of Centennial, Colorado, is survived by a family of four generations including his wife of 66 years, Lois, children Frank, Debbie, Tena, Scott, Kevin, and 50 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Grover's life carried him from his roots in West Virginia to his sunset years in Colorado; from the Great Depression to the modern recession. His journey took him through times of struggle and joy. His faith kept him centered and provided him strength at times of weakness.
We are thankful that Grover maintained a quality of life until his final days. He was fully with us, and we had a chance to enjoy him to the end. We are also thankful that when his time came that he did so with dignity and without prolonged suffering.
We feel the loss as particularly difficult at this time of year, but the spirit of Christmas is in how we come together and what we share with our family, our extended family, and our friends. We have the opportunity to remember Grover, share stories, to know that he's in a better place, and to know that we are better for having had him in our lives. He will be deeply missed.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 27, 2014,1:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church, Parker, Colorado.
