Hal Bruce Storrs, age 63 of Littleton, CO went to heaven to be with his Father on Saturday morning January 5th.
Hal was born in Flagler, CO to Frank and Mabel Storrs on March 13, 1949. He graduated from the Colorado School of Mines with a Bachelor of Science in Mineral Engineering/Physics.
He married Cheryl Lee Olson on July 23rd 1971 and was a devoted husband and father for 41 years. Hal worked as an Aerospace Engineer at Lockheed Martin for 33 years until he retired in March 2009.
As a father he never missed a ballgame or a gymnastics meet and was so proud of the accomplishments of his 2 children. Some of the happiest moments of his life were spent with his 7 grandchildren. Hal loved to travel, over the years he and Cheryl visited 47 of the 50 states and 32 different countries.
Hal was an active member of Grace Community Church where he devoted much of his later years to missions.
Hal is survived by his wife Cheryl, his daughter Wendy Dimmock and her husband David Dimmock, his son Dan Storrs and wife Lori Storrs and his 7 grandchildren Tyler (14), Andrew (11), Samuel (9), Alyssa (8), Joel (7), Emma Jane (4) and Timothy (2). He was preceded in death by his sister Rona Steffenson and his parents Frank and Mabel Storrs.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 11 at 11:00a at Grace Community Church at 7200 S. Clinton St, Centennial CO 80112. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the church for the upcoming missions trip to Uganda that Hal was planning to go on.
