Halina Traczyk was born on April 30th 1927 in Poland. Through the years she survived communism and the world war. Halina was married to Henryk Traczyk and the two of them had two children; Slawomir and Iwona. Halina worked as an accountant in Poland for over 30 years before retiring. Halina survived the worst by having to bury her son Slawomir in 1987. Then Henryk passed away in 1995 which lead to her moving to the United States in 1997 to live with her daughter, son in law, and their child. This is where she lived until the final years of her life. Halina was referred by most people that knew her as Babcia, which means Grandma in Polish.
Babcia liked the simple things in life and did not appear impressed by luxury, expensive jewelry, fancy houses or fast cars. She was happiest when people were around her specially children. She was quiet and content. She enjoyed traveling with her Family, taking walks in the neighborhood, and sitting on the swing chair on the porch. She had a warm and sweat heart which may be attributed to her love warm weather and everything sweet.
On July 9th, Babcia suffered a brain aneurism which put her in coma. She lived three days longer and finally passed away on Sunday July 12th. She did not appear to suffer from pain during this ordeal and died peacefully. She lived at home and was able to walk and perform all physical activities up to the day she suffered the hemorrhage. She will join her Son and Husband now and laugh with the angels. She will be buried in the family plot in Poland.
