Harry Charles Forester, 58, of Arvada passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 8.
Harry was born in San Antonio, Texas on January 22, 1956 to Lewis and Maurine Forester. Harry was one of five children. Harry lived in Texas with his family until his father took a job here in Colorado in 1966. Harry and his family first lived in Golden then they later moved to Arvada.
Harry had a wonderful sense of humor and delighted in his brother and sisters being silly although he would sometimes try not to laugh. Harry had amazing dexterity and could spin a ball in the palm of his hand like a Harlem Globe Trotter. He had a great appreciation for the outdoors and loved to go to Georgetown, Grand Lake, Windy Gap and visit the ocean in Texas. Harry also loved music and would be deeply moved by a classical piece or get a kick out of popular music. He thought it was particularly funny when his daddy would play his wild Irish music. Most of all Harry loved trains. He would smile ear to ear when we got to go for a ride.
Harry is survived by his sister Susan Yates (Dirk) of Arvada, brother Lewis Forester (Mary) of Arvada, and sisters Janet Forester of Arvada, and Leean Train (Michael) of Aurora. Harry also had many nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and great-nephews. Harry is preceded in death by his father Lewis A. Forester and mother Maurine E. Forester.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS).
