Harry Lewis Hipple

August 31, 1931 — July 19, 2015

Harry Lewis Hipple, 83, of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, passed away 19 July 2015, from complications following surgery. He was born in Havre De Grace, Maryland, 31 August 1931. After his birth, he lived in Wallis Run (Williamsport area) Pennsylvania, on a dairy farm. He lived on the farm until His 18th birthday when he joined the United States Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Hipple, his mother Clara Hipple and his brother Duane Hipple, who was killed in Vietnam.

He is survived by:
His adored and adoring wife of sixty-two years, Isal,
Two daughters to whom he was devoted, who loved him dearly, Kathryn
Wallace (Scott) and Cindy Smith (Ross)
Kathryn and Scott's two daughters, Michelle Liam-Wallace (Derek) and
Sarah, and a son Benjamin Messer.
Cindy and Ross' two daughters, Serena and Ansley,
Five Great Grandchildren, Ezekiel, Bruce and Desirée Messer, Skyler
Lenzotti and Naomi Smith,
Five sisters all in Pennsylvania, Laura Michael, Viola Mosteller,
Minnie Wheeland (Ron), Elsie Reeder and Betty Bonozzi.
Thirty-eight nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.

Harry moved to Greeley, Colorado after being discharged from the Air Force, 26 February 1953. At that time he worked in a grain elevator. While working in Greeley he married Isal Faye Small, 28 June 1953. From Greeley they moved to Idaho where he drove truck for Nabisco, for nine months before returning to Greeley. On 2 October 1956, Harry re-joined the Air Force and completed over twenty-one years of honorable service before retiring as a Master Sergeant. (Serving one year in Vietnam.)

After his retirement, Harry then worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier, for over twenty-one years. After his retirement from the Post Office, Harry volunteered for St. Matthew Lutheran Church (where he served many years on the church council) and Catholic Charities hauling food for each of them. Harry attended the National College of Business, receiving his degree, Summa Cum Laude, in Business Administration on 29 November 1978. Harry was a life time member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 2121 in Greeley.

Harry personified the Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). He had a heart filled with Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self Control, all of which led him to be a very Compassionate, Generous person, through whom everyone who knew him was richly blessed. He was a humble man who will be greatly missed by everyone whose path he crossed.
