Harry Mcclain

Harry Thomas McClain, 83, of Lakewood, passed away October 18, 2014.

He was born December 13, 1930 in Independence, Missouri, the son of Harry and Mildred (McKinney)McClain. He served in the Air force during the Korean war. Harry was an alumni of Arizona State University and obtained a Bachelor's degree. He was a police officer and detective for the Phoenix police department. Harry came to Denver to work for the Department of the Interior and retired in 1990.

Harry is survived by his two granddaughters, Melinda D. (William) Zaczkowski and Ashley A. (Jon) Kibel; two great-granddaughters Amanda L. Corwin and Cassandra D. Zaczkowski; great-great grandson Jacob J. Corwin and great-great-granddaughter Evelyn E. Zaczkowski. He is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy McClain; daughters Marilyn D. Corwin and Kathleen A. Kibel, and his son Kevin T. McClain; and grandson Matthew D. Kibel.

Harry was a member of the Shriner's for over 30 years. He enjoyed playing golf, and bowling. He walked over 3 miles a day until his late 70's. He was also a world traveler, who loved to take pictures of his friends and family. He was beloved by everyone who knew him.
