Harvey E. Webb December 18, 1929- June 30, 2012Harvey E. Webb, beloved husband of Mary and loving father died on June 30, 2012 in Aurora, Colorado.He will be laid to rest on July 11, 2012 at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Lakewood, Colorado. Services will be held at 1:00PM graveside at Fort Logan.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Webb, son Mearl Webb(Michele Tuttle), son John Webb, daughter Margaret Horwich (Frank Horwich) and daughter Mary Lou Avila(Fernando Avila)as well as 3 grandchildren, Lindsey, Aaron and Evan.
Harvey was born in St. Paul, MN on December 18, 1929. On September 30, 1950, he married the love of his life, Mary Jean Katherine Fehring at Hope Lutheran Church in St. Paul, MN. He served in both the Army and the Air Force earning an honorable discharge from each, and was active in many organizations throughout his life, including Toastmasters International Club, a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, a member of the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons, and a member of the United States Junior Chamber (Jaycees). Harvey and Mary moved to various cities in the Midwest including Madison and West Bend, WI as he pursued his interests and career, as well as working as a rate analyst at Farmer's Union Central Exchange in St. Paul, Transportation Manager for Husky Oil in Cody, Wyoming and Husky's Charcoal division in Atlanta, Georgia.
Harvey was a railroad enthusiast and from 1970-1990 he fulfilled a life-long dream of owning his own business that included owning several railways.Harvey fell in love with the west after his experience working in Glacier National Park in Montana as a teenager. His move to Cody, Wyoming allowed him to explore, appreciate and enjoy the mountains' beauty that made him feel as if he was in "God's Country".
He was a faithful, loving husband and father who never shied away from a good joke or prank. His zest for life and optimistic attitude was greatly admired and appreciated by those around him. Harvey was an honorable man whose word was his bond, come what may. His memory will live on in his children, grandchildren and those who knew and loved him.
