Hayward Joseph "Joey" McMinn Jr., 46, born on March 26, 1966 in Houston, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on April 3, 2012. Joey will be deeply missed by his wife, stepson, mother, stepfather, siblings, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.
Joey loved his country and served honorably in the US Army for six years. He also cherished his animals and took great pride in his dogs. Another passion was spending time with his wife. Joey was loved greatly and will be missed immensely.
He is preceded in death by his father, Hayward Joseph McMinn, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Sandy, and his stepson Trevor; his mother, Barbara Powell; his stepfather, Jim Powell; his brother Kevin McMinn and his wife Jo; his brother David Powell and his wife, Maureen; his sister Shawn Jeffcoat and her husband, Lloyd; his sister, Michelle Lancaster, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He will be laid to rest on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado with a full military service. The family welcomes comments from all of you. Thank you so much for all your prayers during this time of our sorrow.
