Hazel Alene Lynn

Hazel Alene DeLong Lynn passed away December 30, 2022. She was born at Strawn Coffey County, Kansas, February 25, 1932. She attended Strawn schools, graduating in 1949. She was a bookkeeper in banks in Kansas and Colorado. She retired from the District Court Trustees office in Johnson County Kansas.

She loved music, playing drums in the high school band, piano, organ, and hammered dulcimer. She sang many solos at school functions and sang duets with her sister MaryLou at church. Her and her sisters were members of the "Old Fashioned Gospel Quartet" at church. Her hobbies were music, reading, photography, crafts, and painting.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy DeLong and Tracy Hazel Phillips DeLong, brother Lester, Roy Jr, Merle, Wendell, sister Bertha O'Connor, LauraBelle Dalrymple, MaryLou Atherly, and grandson Mikhail Sean Lynn.

She is survived by her husband Russell, son Michael, daughter Jeri Thomas, grandsons Daniel and Trevor Lynn, granddaughters Melanie and Melissa Thomas, step granddaughter Kelsea Killbride, and great granddaughter Cora Peak.
