Heather Christine Thoming, beloved wife, mother, daughter, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on September 1, 2025, at the age of 51. Born on June 22, 1974, in Englewood, Colorado, Heather's vibrant spirit and creative essence radiated through every aspect of her life. She is survived by her loving husband Michael, her cherished children Haley, Hannah, Emily, and Gage, her dear sisters Katie, and Elizabeth, as well as her father Jerold. She was preceded in death by her vibrant and devoted mother, Virginia Jane Gray.

Heather's journey through life was one characterized by creativity, passion, and an unwavering commitment to her family and community. She graduated from Littleton High School and furthered her education at Ricks College. In 1997 she first became a mother to Haley, and on September 22, 2000, Heather married the love of her life, Michael, in Littleton, Colorado, continuing her beautiful journey of love and family.

As a dedicated mother, Heather poured her heart and soul into nurturing and guiding her children. Hannah joined the family in 2001, Emily in 2004, and Gage rounded out the crew in 2010. Heather's love knew no bounds, and her home was a sanctuary filled with laughter, creativity, and warmth. She was not only a mother, but also a remarkable professional, serving as the founder of Whipperberry, a creative lifestyle blog that inspired many with its beautiful aesthetics and innovative ideas. She joined Carlson Projects in 2022 as a Marketing Director, where her unmatched style and passion for brand marketing flourished. She was soon promoted to Lead Designer at Carlson, bringing her love of interior design to many people and their beautiful homes.

A devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Heather participated actively in her faith community, serving as a ward Young Women's President and Primary President at both the ward and stake levels. Her commitment to service and leadership was evident in every interaction, and she touched the lives of many through her selfless contributions. She loved meeting emerging entrepreneurs, and coached many of them on developing their brand and marketing materials.

Heather had myriad interests that illuminated her vibrant personality. From a young age, she was enamored with the world of stage productions, participating in her high school’s rendition of “Merry Wives of Windsor.” This passion blossomed into a lifelong love of films and storytelling, where she could effortlessly name actors and recount their contributions to cinema. Her love for photography brought families together, as she adeptly captured the best sides of her subjects in her captivating portraits. An enthusiast of interior design, brand marketing, and technology, Heather was always eager to explore the latest software and gadgets, allowing her to remain at the forefront of creative innovation.

Heather was known for her wildly creative spirit, fantastically passionate approach to interior design, and her unique sense of style. Her love for all things beautiful was matched only by her dedication to uplifting and inspiring those around her. She will be remembered not only for her artistic talents but also for her boundless love for her family and friends.

A celebration of Heather’s life will be held on October 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM at 3000 Old Cheney Rd, Lincoln, NE 68516. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory by clicking HERE

The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the Thoming, Thompson, and Bugbee families for their unwavering support, as well as to the Janssen and Nitta families for their assistance with funeral and memorial arrangements. Heather will be profoundly missed, and her spirit will continue to inspire all who had the privilege to know her. Her legacy of love, creativity, and kindness will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
