Helen H. Collins

Helen H. Collins was born in Sacramento, Ca. on July 10, 1916. Helen was raised in San Francisco, Ca. She passed away in Denver in December of 2014.

Helen married John J. Collins in Dec 1946, they had seven children. She is preceded in death by her husband John and sons John and Jerry. John and Helen raised their family in Lakewood. Helen was a wonderful mother that had a great wit, compassion for others, and strong faith. She enjoyed attending her children's activities.

Her interests included fashion, traveling, music, movies and genealogy. She was very proud of her Irish roots and kept up relations with her relatives in Ireland.

She leaves behind five children Bob, Marilyn, Kate, Helen and Jimmy. She also had seven grandchildren, Allison, Scott, Mike, Chris, Sean, Meghan and Kristina. In addition five great grandchildren, Eli, Lily, Grahame, Hudson and Kiera survive her. Helen lived her life well and leaves behind a wonderful legacy for her children of love, laughter and living life to the fullest. We will miss you Ma Collins.

Viewing at Newcomer Funeral Home in Lakewood on Monday, January 5, 2015 6-7pm followed by Rosary. Additional viewing at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 10-11am followed by Mass. Interment at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
