Helen Hamby, 85, of Commerce City, passed away January 1, 2017.
She was born June 30, 1931 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Salvador and Esther (Ortiz) Mackintosh. She was a graduate of Manual High School. On June 10, 1951 she married Gordon F. Hamby, of Ogden, Utah.
Helen is survived by her children, Carol (Gordon) Hayward, Catherine (Bruce) Hamby, Gordon (Nit) Hamby, and Misha Chivers; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four siblings, Ruben (Carole) Mackintosh, Ben (Dorothy) Mackintosh, Elva Barger, and Arturo (Theresa) Mackintosh. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gordon F. Hamby; parents, Salvador and Esther Mackintosh; and sisters, Vicki Lee and Bea Chapman.
