Helen Susan Keogh Holden, known as Honey to most family and friends, passed away Sunday September 10th at 88 years old. Honey was born in Michigan, the 4th of 4 children of Harold and Alma Keogh. She is preceded in death by her 3 siblings, James, Jack and Jane. She had no children. Honey worked for the Air Force as a personal assistant for many years, traveling to Germany, Thailand and other parts of the world. She married Stan Holden in 1970 who she met while working at NORAD. She was a breast cancer survivor. After retirement, they moved to be near her mother in Canon City. After her mother's death, they relocated several times in the Denver area, but loving the downtown area of Cherry Creek the most Honey loved nice clothes and always looked her best no matter what. Stylish, lovely, smart, sassy, opinionated, all in a very unique, quiet, yet firm fashion. Her vocabulary, animated looks and motions were wondrous. If you got "the look" you were in. A sort of "I dare you " to test you. She was very generous, caring and full of wit. An avid reader, and seamstress. Animals of all kinds were a love of hers, but cats were a passion. Like a cat, she was independent, curious, stylish, always looked her best and even give you the look. She will be missed so much. Honey will be buried along side her husband Stan Holden at Ft. Logan National Cemetery on Wed. September 27th, her birthday. There is no service.
