79, of Lakewood, CO. Passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2011 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Born May 19, 1932 to parents William A. and Elizabeth (Schuster) Hawes in Laverne, Oklahoma. She is survived by son Robert D. (Debra) Bissantz; daughter Katie Alfano (Glenn Williams); grandchildren Benjamin and Molly Bissantz; brothers Ray (Bonnie) Hawes and Don (Laura) Hawes; sister-in-law Alpha Hawes; numerous nephews, nieces and extended family. Preceded in death by parents; brothers William and Robert (Mary) Hawes. Helen was a Registered Nurse for over 40 years. In retirement her advocation was quilting and charitable works. She was a member of Phillips United Methodist Church in Lakewood, CO. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her honor to Lutheran Collier Hospice, 3210 Lutheran Parkway, Wheat Ridge, CO 80003.
