Helen P. Haley

Helen passed away February 7, 2013 in Denver, Colorado. She was 86 years old at the time of her death. She was preceded in death by her husband Neil Jordan Haley in 2008.

Helen was born to Fanny and Samuel Bowman in Council Grove, Kansas on March 13, 1926. She moved along with her family to the San Miguel Basin in Colorado when she was two years old. The family then moved to Norwood, Colorado when she was eleven. She graduated from Norwood High School in 1943. After graduation she moved to Denver.

She married Neil Jordan Haley December 22, 1945 in Anacordes, Washington while Neil was in the Navy.

Helen is survived by two sisters, Kay Edwards of Colorado Springs and Joan Farber of Eugene, Oregon. She is also survived by her children, Cheryl Wilmer of Aurora, Debra Lochrie of Westminster, Scott Haley of Westminster, and Brent Haley of Northglenn; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren with one on the way.

Memorial services will be held at the Elmwood Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 1951 Elmwood Lane in Denver at 11:00 am on Friday, February 15, 2013.
