Helga Vashon

Helga was born in West Germany. She had two sisters that were older and two loving parents. When she was three years old her dad died of T.B. She contracted it also and had to go to a medical inpatient place for a while. She was ok. She had a spot on her lung all her life. She met Lary and married him in 1957. Lary was in the service so they traveled a lot. They lived in France and in Italy and a lot of states. They had three children, Steve, Jim and Tammy. They settled in Colorado in 1974. Helga worked for the Cherry Creek food service for the schools. Eventually she retired and Larry did too. They did some traveling for a while.

Helga's life ended in the afternoon of March 22, 2015. She was 76 years of age.

Helga is survived by her husband Lary Vashon of almost 58 years and her three children Steve Vashon, Jim Vashon and Tammy McNeill. She is also survived by her three grandchildren Dustin McNeill, Tyler Vashon and Kassandra Vashon. Helga is preceded in death by her parents Adolf and Elizabeth and her sisters Alme and Hilda.
