Herman House

With humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the passing of our Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Uncle, and Friend, Mr. Herman House on April 20, 2026. As he wished, he peacefully transitioned from his earthly home, where he had lived for over 70 years, into his heavenly home. Days before his passing he would sing “Walk with me Lord, Walk with me.” 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Willie D. (Rice) House and his son, Herman R. House. Left to cherish his memories are his children: Ernestine Jackson (Denver), Patricia (Fredrick, Sr.) Hudnall (Aurora), Philip (Terri) House (Aurora), Cheryl House (Denver); 11 grandchildren: the Jacksons— Steve (Dawn), Sheldon, Branden (LaTasha) and Rev. Brian; Amber (Nick) Dogan, Frederick Hudnall II, Micah Hudnall; Tivoli (Brett) Fields, Tahonie (Delano) Watts-House, Philip, Jr. (Shari) House; Zuri House; 25 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

The Viewing for family and friends is on May 6, 2026, from 6 to 8 pm, at Newcomer East Metro Chapel, 190 Potomac Street, Aurora, Colorado. The Funeral Service is at 11 am on May 7, 2026, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 3385 Albion Street in Denver, Colorado. Interment will follow at the Olinger Hampden Cremation and Cemetery, 8600 E. Hampden Avenue, Denver, Colorado.
