Hermine M Colasanti (Endlekofer), born in White Plains, New York on February 18, 1920, died at home on January 30, 2014 at the age of 93. She was a resident of Aurora, CO and married for 46 years to Regis J. Colasanti, who died in 1988.
Hermine is survived by 5 adult children: Regis Colasanti Jr. (Chris), Mary Alice Annecharico Simpson (Bob), Carol Ann Kean (John), Jeanne Colasanti (Steve Lea), and Nancy Cersonsky. She was devoted to her 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and niece, Ruth Garrity Doughty. Hermine is pre-deceased by her son-in-law, Dr. Jeffrey Cersonsky and grandson Benjamin Inskeep.
She attended St. Vincent's School of Nursing, NYC, and led Denver's Mercy Hospital as the Director of Nursing for 28 years. Following her retirement, she volunteered at Mercy and the Aurora Senior Center for 10 years.
God has taken this beautiful woman, wife, mother, and grandmother to heaven as a symbol of the one word that defined her life, "Others".
Viewing at Newcomer Funeral Home-East Metro Chapel, 190 N Potomac Rd., Aurora, 80011 from 5 PM – 8PM on Tuesday, February 4. Vigil Service will be held at 7 PM. The Mass of Resurrection will be held on Wednesday, February 5th at St. Pius X Church, Aurora at 2 PM.
