Hollis G. Gulbrandson, 82, of Brighton, passed away June 21, 2016.
He was born December 14, 1933 in Gresham, Nebraska, one of 14 children born to Birger and Rosie (Bristow) Gulbrandson.
On July 18, 1981 he married Miriam Bromley.
Hollis was also a longtime member of Elmwood Baptist Church. He was also member of the Shriners, Elks, and RV Roamers Clubs.
Hollis loved the outdoors and took every opportunity to be outside. He was a farmer and a rancher. He also enjoyed spending time in his cabin in Nederland. One of the highlights of his life was camping with the RV Roamers Club. Hollis loved to work in his shop. He had a good sense of humor and always loved a good joke. Above all, he will be remembered with love by his family.
Hollis is survived by Four Children, Doris J. (Billy) Holloway, Pamela L. (Jenny VanDinter) Gulbrandson, Hollis A. (Cynthia) Gulbrandson and Lynn (Gregory) Barnes; 3 stepchildren including Steve (Suzie) Kator; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; 4 sisters and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 34 years, Miriam Gulbrandson; Father, Birger Gulbrandson, Mother, Rosie Gulbrandson, and 9 siblings.
