Homer Allen Lyle 1931-2012
Homer was born in Maitland, MO to Olga Marie (Brown) and Harold Alexander Lyle. He attended William Jewel College in Liberty, MO and then graduated from Northwest Missouri State.
After graduation, Homer joined the U.S. Navy where he completed Naval Flight Training and served in Mediterranean on the Coral Sea Aircraft Carrier. He started his career in banking after leaving the Navy, but his love of flying continued. His banking career took him to Omaha, Kansas City, and brought him to Denver in 1979.
Homer retired from banking to devote his life to his love of flying and family. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joyce (Heck) Lyle, and their three sons David Lyle of San Antonio, TX, Dwight (Mary) Lyle of Aurora, CO, and Doug (Vickie) Lyle of Elizabeth, CO, as well as eight grandchildren. No funeral services are planned.
A memorial celebrating his life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to the Namaste Comfort Fund c/o Namaste Hospice.
