Ida Mae (Harrell) Seger (81) of Pine Grove Ranch, Kittredge passed away January 28, 2012. Ida was born August 3, 1930 in Logansport Indiana. Her family moved to Colorado when she was 3 years old to farm in Wheat Ridge. Ida attended school in Wheat Ridge and graduated from Wheat Ridge High School.
On November 21, 1948, Ida married Robert (Bob) Seger. They lived in Wheat Ridge for about 5 years before moving to the Evergreen area where they have lived for 59 years.
Ida was a homemaker, active leader in 4-H, and taught adult education classes. Ida loved to cook, sew, crafts, ceramics, flower arranging, painting and bowling. Her passion was baking and making goodie boxes and trays for just about any occasion.
Ida is survived by her husband Bob of Pine Grove Ranch, three daughters, Kathie Surmeier and husband Bob of Wheat Ridge, Linda Story and husband Steve of Greeley, and Cheryl Pendleton and husband Les of Conifer. She has three granddaughters, Shelly Stewart and husband Sean of Grand Junction, Stacey Pendleton of Conifer and Krystle Surmeier of Wheat Ridge and three step great grandsons.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial "Celebration of Life" will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 11:00 at Jefferson Avenue United Methodist Church, 4425 Kipling, Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Memorial Contributions may be made to Jefferson Avenue United Methodist Church.
