Listen to Obituary

Inocencio Larry Gogo, 80, of Aurora Colorado passed away on February 20th, 2026. Affectionately known as Big Larry and Papa. Big Larry was born on September 21st, 1945, on the beautiful island of Guam in the village of Sinajana. He served his country during the Vietnam war while enlisted in the U.S. Army. Big Larry was a loving Father, an adored Grandfather, A beloved Brother, an amazing Uncle and dedicated Son.

He was a long-time truck driver who loved being on the road. He appreciated the solitude and peace of the open road, some snacks an Earth Wind and Fire cassette, a pack of smokes and a full tank, he was happy. Big Larry was also proud of the time he spent as a trash man in his younger years. Always a hard-working man, he also enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, game nights, bingo, oldies, casino trips, jeopardy, cars and eating anything sweet within arm’s reach.

He was a very giving and caring man, stubborn and determined. He lived his life on his own terms. His many lessons will be carried on for generations to come. Big Larry was a simple man, a happy family, clean car, cabinets and fridge full, an almost empty bingo dabber and two packs of Marlboros. Stern and gentle, a teacher, a provider, a man’s man. Never one to ask for help but always the first to offer it.

Big Larry is survived by his son Inocencio “Lil Larry” Mendoza (Ariel Aflague), Grandchildren Elijah, Savanah, Saibien, and Keiono and Sisters Ann and Mary. He will be greatly missed by friends, countless Nieces and Nephews, family and so many others who had the privilege of knowing him.

A funeral service will be held at Ft. Logan National Cemetery on March 16th 2026 at 1:30 PM with a celebration of life to follow.
