Iona Toland

Iona Ellen Bloomer Toland of Littleton, Colorado passed away 18 July 2016 at the Brookdale Senior Living Center in the early morning. She was born 26 Dec 1929 in Pueblo, Colorado, the daughter of Roy Oliver Bloomer and Lena Eldora Lame Bloomer and twin sister, Leona Helen Bloomer who died at the age of 13. She also was predeceased by two other sisters, Lucille (Dee Dee) and Evahnell, and a brother, James, as well as her husband of 55 years, Richard.

Iona was united in marriage to the late Richard Leroy Toland on 5 Oct 1952 and they had four children. Iona is survived by a daughter and son in law, Cheryl and Michael Karasek; three sons and daughters in law: Daniel and Nita, Donald and Bonnie, David and Charlotte. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Iona's life revolved around her family, especially her grandchildren and her many daycare children over the years. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
